  • Do all rooms have their own bathroom?  Yes
  • When is breakfast served? What if I have food allergies?  Breakfast is served 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m..  We can accommodate for dietary needs with advance notice.
  • Are there TV’s and radio alarm clocks?  In order to fully experience the peacefulness of our lodge and to truly “get away from it all”, our guest rooms are not furnished with televisions.  We do have radio alarm clocks in each room.
  • Are there phones in the rooms? No, but there is a common area phone in the great room for guests to use.
  • Do the rooms have ironing boards and irons?  No, but there are some available upon request.
  • Is there AC in the rooms? Yes, we do put window AC’s in each room in the summer.   Each room has its own individual climate control for heat.
  • Do you offer WIFI?  Yes, we do offer WIFI throughout the lodge.
  • Are hairdryers provided?  All of our rooms have hairdryers.
  • Are pets allowed?  We are not able to accommodate pets.
  • Do you allow children?  The inn is not suitable for children under the age of 12.
  • Are you located on Lake Champlain?  No.  We are 3/4 of a mile from the lake.  When the lodge was originally built it had views of the lake, but in time the foliage has grown and has blocked the view.
  • Do you host weddings or bridal showers?  No
  • Is smoking allowed?  No. Smoking is not allowed in any part of the lodge or outside on the decks or balconies.
  • When is check in and check out?  The normal check-in time is between 3:00-6:00 pm with an 11:00 am check-out time. Late arrival can be accommodated with advance notice. Call us at 518-563-8714 or send us an email at info@pointaurochelodge.com for additional information.  We do not accept same day reservations past 6PM
  • Do you serve dinner?  We do not serve dinner.  There are places that will deliver if you choose to stay in.  In the summer there is a seasonal restaurant at the marina on the lake that is less than a mile from the lodge, otherwise it is a 10-15 minute drive into Plattsburgh.
  • Is there parking?  We have complimentary parking for our guests.  We also have limited parking for boats. 
  • Is there a communal fridge?  Yes, we have a full size fridge in the library for guests to use including a freezer.
  • Can I bring candles?  We cannot have open flames in any of the rooms. Battery operated candles are allowed.
  • Do you have rooms with 2 beds? Do you have rollways?  The Angler room has the option of two twin beds.  We have a rollaway available for an additional fee of $25.  Only certain rooms can accommodate 3 people.  You will need to email or call regarding adding a 3rd person to a reservation. 
  • Does the house have stairs?  We have stairs to reach the second level of the house and do not have an elevator.  There are 4 rooms upstairs and 4 downstairs.  Under our list of rooms each room states where the room is located.
  • Are there rental car companies?  There are two rental car agencies in Plattsburgh.  Hertz and Enterprise
  • Are you handicap accessible?  Yes.  The Angler room is handicap accessible.
  • Is there a bar on site? No, but the lodge does have a nice selection of beer and wine for purchase.
